But Pig Beach is more than just a place to meet piglets: it’s a heartwarming story of rescue and transformation. Originally rescued from a vacant lot by the Ecological Police of Progreso, these orphaned piglets found comfort and joy on the beach. Inspired by their love for the ocean, the idea of creating a tourist attraction with an educational and environmental focus was born.
During your visit, don’t miss the chance to meet the piglets during their beach outings at 11:00 am, 3:00 pm, and 5:00 pm. Each session lasts 30 minutes, allowing plenty of time to interact, swim, and take photos with these adorable creatures.
Pig Beach is not just about piglets; it is also a fully equipped beach club. Guests can enjoy amenities such as restrooms, showers, changing rooms, umbrellas, lounge chairs, snack and beverage areas, souvenir shops, and even paddleboard and kayak rentals. Additionally, there are unique photo opportunities, including sea swings, a beach bench, and giant piglet sculptures. Note: Food and beverages at the beach club are available at an additional cost.
