Join the adventure from the Belize-Mexico border with one of our expert guides. During the tour, the guides will share stories and interesting information about the region. We depart towards the town of Bomba, a short one-and-a-half-hour drive from the border and in close proximity to the Mayan ruins of Altun Ha.

Once in Bomba, we will provide you with safety equipment and a detailed introduction on how to safely drive an ATV in the tropical jungle. The total ATV adventure time is approximately 1.5 hours.

Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Maya cultural experience by making your own chocolate. You will witness the descendants of the Maya crafting this ancient yet delicious product and have the chance to make it yourself.

The impressive Mayan city of Altun Ha is located in the nearby village of Rock Stone Pond and was a rich ceremonial center consisting of two main plazas and thirteen structures, including the Temple of the Sun God or the Temple of the Masonry Altars. Altun Ha is not far from the Caribbean Sea and was part of a unique cultural zone along with other coastal sites. Additionally, Altun Ha does not have stelae, but the discovery of rich tombs indicates that the ruling elite had access to a significant amount of exotic goods.

After visiting Altun Ha, we will continue our ATV and Mayan ruins tour in Belize and return to Belize City for a delicious local lunch. After lunch, we head back to your accommodation, water taxi, or local flight to the islands. Please note that on some holidays, lunch may not be available, and we will substitute it with a packed lunch. Join us for an unforgettable experience in Belize!
